Her Justice appoints three new members to Board of Directors

Kelley Cornish, Elizabeth Abrams, and Nicole Greenblatt elected to the Board of Directors

July 31, 2018, NYC—Members of the Her Justice Board of Directors unanimously approved the election of Kelley Cornish, Partner, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, Elizabeth Abrams, Managing Director, Millstein & Co., and Nicole Greenblatt, Partner, Kirkland & Ellis LLP as the organization’s newest board members.

Kelley Cornish was this year’s Her Justice Honoree at its Annual Photography Auction & Benefit and has been a stalwart supporter of Her Justice for many years.  “I’ve supported the work of Her Justice since its inception,” said Kelley, “and am proud to partner with my colleagues at Paul, Weiss to provide assistance to, and protect the rights of, women living in poverty in NYC.”

Elizabeth Abrams has significant experience advising companies, investors and other stakeholders in complex corporate restructuring transactions. Her work has been recognized by the Turnaround Management Association and Turnaround and Workouts magazine.  “I am excited to advocate at the Board level for an organization whose impact on the lives of its clients is simply life changing,” said Elizabeth, a longtime supporter of Her Justice.

Nicole Greenblatt represents debtors, creditors, equity holders and investors in all aspects of complex corporate restructurings and was recently profiled in Crain’s New York inaugural list of the Best Women Attorneys in NYC for 2018.  “I have rarely seen an organization demonstrate such care, dedication and passion towards the women whose lives they touch so profoundly,” said Nicole.  “I’m proud to be a part of it.”

“I’m thrilled to welcome such accomplished and committed women to our Board,” said Amy Barasch, Executive Director.  “I know their contributions will move our mission forward as we continue reaching deep into communities, expanding pro bono opportunities for legal and non-legal professionals and advocating for critical policy changes for our clients.”
