As Executive Assistant and Senior Coordinator of Strategy & Relationships at Her Justice, Gülay (she/her) supports the Executive Director and senior leadership by providing high-level coordination, maintaining documentation and reporting systems, and advancing the organization’s strategic priorities. She works closely with the Board, funders, and external partners, ensuring that complex workflows run smoothly and that leadership has the information and support needed to move the mission forward. Her role sits at the intersection of executive operations and organizational strategy, with a focus on strengthening relationships and systems that sustain Her Justice’s long-term impact.

Through this role, Gülay contributes directly to Her Justice’s ability to serve more women and gender-diverse people facing legal crises, ensuring that the infrastructure behind the mission is as strong as the mission itself. Before joining Her Justice, Gülay built her career at the United Nations Statistics Division where she coordinated cross-functional initiatives, managed stakeholder inputs, and translated complex data into executive-ready materials. Across the US and Turkey, she held several nonprofit roles focused on gender equity, community development, and advocacy for laws preventing femicide; work that put her close to the policy and organizing efforts that protect women’s lives. Most recently, she conducted field research in Kenya on women’s economic empowerment indicators, grounding her policy expertise in direct community engagement. Gülay is a Fulbright Scholar who holds a Master of International Affairs in Economic and Political Development and Data Analytics from Columbia University, and a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics.

She earned her BA in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University, with a semester at Sciences Po Paris.
