These awards shine a spotlight on powerhouse partners working to help our clients achieve life-changing results from the civil justice system. Alexia Korberg, our Executive Director, offers opening remarks below.

“At Her Justice, we know that dignity is more than just a word or a moment. For the women we serve—most of whom are mothers and survivors of gender-based violence—dignity means having you advocating for and with them to win a child support that puts food on the table for their children, or secure an order of protection that keeps them safe, or obtain legal immigration status that opens doors to stability. With you by their side, our clients aren’t alone through their legal journeys. And in a particularly vulnerable time for our clients, this work—your work—matters more than ever.
 
So to our award winners—congratulations! Your dedication is both personally inspiring and essential to this organization. And your impact ripples outward, helping clients break familial cycles of abuse and poverty through civil justice wins that change not just their own life trajectories, but their children’s and their grandchildren’s, too.
