Jensen Baker

Senior Manager, Development

A person with short, wavy brown hair wears a light blue dress shirt, a striped necktie with a gold collar chain, and an orange vest.

As Senior Development Manager, Jensen (they/them) brings warmth, energy, and a genuine love of connecting people to Her Justice’s mission. They manage a portfolio of individual donors, corporate partners, and charitable foundations, approaching every relationship with sincere curiosity about what inspires each supporter. From forging strategic partnerships across New York City’s legal and business communities to leading engagement and fundraising with the Junior Advisory Board, Jensen is a creative strategist who believes fundraising and friend-raising go hand in hand. They bring a storyteller’s eye to their work and remain an eager learner, always picking up new ideas from colleagues, partners, and the communities Her Justice serves. They serve as both an ambassador for the organization and a bridge between those inspired to create change and the impact their generosity makes possible.

In their day-to-day work, they’re as likely to be dreaming up a fresh way to welcome new supporters as they are to be showing up at a colleague’s event, ready to lend a hand. By securing the resources that sustain Her Justice’s pro bono model, Jensen helps ensure that more women and families are met not with barriers, but with advocacy, dignity, and opportunity.

Before joining Her Justice, Jensen built a career at the intersection of fundraising, business development, and relationship management, bringing more than 12 years of experience connecting people to causes that matter. Along the way, they have secured tens of millions of dollars in philanthropic support for mission-driven organizations, cultivated executive-level partnerships, and led volunteer engagement initiatives that fueled organizational growth and long-term sustainability. Their work has spanned nonprofits, social impact startups, and education technology ventures, all grounded in a belief that meaningful relationships are the foundation of meaningful change. Jensen’s fundraising work has earned both national recognition and unique opportunities in the field, including being selected by Save the Children to visit program sites in Uganda after helping more than 2,000 individuals become child sponsors—an experience that gave them the opportunity to see firsthand the impact of the generosity they had helped inspire.

They earned a degree in Film and Media Studies and Sports and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina.
