Susanna Saul graduates as a CORO Fellow in the Immigrant Civic Leadership Program

Her Justice Managing Attorney, Immigration, Susanna Saul recently graduated from the Immigrant Civic Leadership program at CORO, a New York-based leadership training organization that builds skills to lead change within New York’s diverse immigrant communities.  Graduation requires the development of a Community Change Project that strengthens participants’ particular immigrant communities. As her Community Change Project Susanna created a Speakers Bureau for immigrant survivors of gender-based violence, comprised of Her Justice clients who will receive training on public speaking and storytelling.  The Moth Community Program, a national storytelling organization, will provide a series of workshops to the group.  Once they are ready, participants will then share their personal experiences with media outlets, public officials and the general public to create awareness around issues facing survivors and the services provided by Her Justice.
