Statement on Family Separation

Her Justice stands for getting and keeping immigrant parents and their children together. We have embraced this priority since the founding of our immigration program over a decade ago. We abhor and condemn the policy of separating parents and children at the border as a clear human rights abuse. Clearly, many of you do too. We have received numerous inquiries about what our community can do to help address the current situation.

Although we’re not at the border, Her Justice pro bono attorneys, staff and supporters continue to help hundreds of immigrant families safely reunite in New York City through relief through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). When you volunteer for or otherwise support our immigration program you help make sure that immigrant women can continue to live safely in New York City with their children or reunite with children living abroad.
