Her Justice 2021 Annual Photography Auction & Benefit Raises Historic $3+ Million

Her Justice Sponsors & Donors Deliver Record-Breaking Support for Women Living in Poverty
MAY 11, 2021, New York City— “Pro-bono-First” organization, Her Justice, proudly honored Lauren Krueger of KKR Credit and Ray C. Schrock of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP at their Annual Photography Auction & Benefit on Thursday, May 6, 2021.
A record-breaking, virtual program and auction, the event raised over $3 million for the New York City organization, which stands with women living in poverty by providing them with free, critical legal services in the areas of family, matrimonial, and immigration law. The funds raised include contributions from Diamond-level sponsors The Altman Family Foundation Inc; Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP; Kirkland & Ellis LLP; Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP; PJT Partners; and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Platinum-level sponsors Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, AlixPartners, Alvarez & Marsal, King & Spalding, and Sidley Austin LLP, as well as over 130 additional sponsors, 25 of whom were new to the Benefit and nearly 40 of whom increased their support from previous years.
“We know that women like our clients were disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, and they will be feeling the economic ripple effects of the crisis for years to come,” said Amy Barasch, Executive Director at Her Justice. “Achieving this astounding milestone during such a tumultuous year ensures that we can confidently build back to our pre-COVID capacity to connect thousands of women and children with the legal help they so desperately need.”
